The students that can be interested in this Master are those that have a B.A. in economics, accountancy, finance, and who are motivated to get involved in finance. Furthermore, the Master is devoted to the people who are already working in financial institutions, banks, and corporations and who want to deepen their practical and theoretical knowledge.
CURRICULUM
- Organization’s General Policy
This course presents the major principles of the firm’s management and its general policy. It highlights the corporate strategy and its most important theoretical and practical aspects.
- The entrepreneur’s Role and Missions
The role of the entrepreneur is discussed in the context of the SME’s evolution through the last decades: the ISO is used as a reference.
- General Policy of the Corporation
The corporate general policy is studies in the context of the economics of organizations with some aspects of sociology, psychology, and politics. As a matter of fact, the principal goal is to help the students to link the corporate policy of the incumbent firm with its surrounding behavior.
- The Different Types of Marketing
The baseline empirical and theoretical approaches dealing with marketing are tackled. The analysis is extended to various applications and simulations of real-world data.
The corporate functions, structures, and objectives are studied in the light of the most recent managerial theories. The international dimension is embedded in the study context.
The concepts that are encompassed in the course are mainly the planning, budgeting, production, costing and son on. The real-world applications include several industry-specific characteristics.
The financial analysis of the firm’s financial statements is done on the basis of the standard financial analysis methods and techniques. The financial information is included as a major component of the firm’s efficiency.
The financial securities and their characteristics are discussed from the peculiar angle of legislation. Certainly, such characteristics vary across countries which gives rise to an important number of differences and similarities of financial instruments.
Simulations and real-world applications are used. Computer packages are implemented to run the simulations and the real-world cases.
- The entrepreneur and the strategy
The entrepreneur’s role in the firm consists of running the business activity on behalf the shareholders. This course points out his role and his strategy in running the firm on the basis of the agency and information theories. The contractual problems arising from the hidden strategies by the entrepreneur are also discussed.
This course extends the firm’s global strategy in the context of groups. Some amount of corporate governance is included as a component of the course.
- Strategy and International Development
The firm’s strategy is discussed in the globalization set-up. International trade theories are studied to determine the main drivers of firm’s efficiency and survival.
- Computer applications and NTIC (New information and communication technology)
This course analyses jointly the role of new information and communication technologies in shaping the new context of corporations. Many computer applications are used for corroboration.
- Financial and accounting packages
Introduction to Risk Metrics, Credit Metrics, Bloomberg, Reuters, Condor, etc.
The training period lasts three months in a corporation or in a public institution.
The dissertation deals with a recent topic that is closely related to the professional world.
