Advanced aspects of mathematical finance, investment-financing decisions, bonds, real-world applications using computer packages.
- Advanced Financial and Accounting Analysis
Analysis of financial statements and the financial information that may be inferred from these statements. Expansion of the analysis to cover national and multinational corporations.
Analysis of the microstructure of marketplaces and the organization of organized and non-organized (over-the-counter market) financial markets. Additional aspects are also dealt with, such as credit risk.
- RISK MANAGEMENT OF INTEREST rates
This course discusses the requirements imposed by Basel II, and the methods to manage the risks
induced by interest and exchange rates. The management of such risks is tackled in the context of
the Tunisian Dinars convertibility, the volatility of rates.
Selection of securities and portfolios, optimization of portfolios, CAPM-type models, and their extensions. The postgraduate should understand the optimal strategies to implement in order to manage a portfolio of securities (e.g., stocks, bonds, warrants, options.)
- Management of raw materials’ Risks
This course deals with the management of the volatility of raw materials prices (oil, barley, etc.) and discusses the techniques for the alleviation of such risks.
- Financial valuation of Distressed-firms
This course discusses the methods for the valuation of financially-distressed firms. Also, it deals with the risk-return analysis and the financial analysis based on ratios. The main objective is assessing the financial health of the firm through the utilization of ratios and its financial structure.
- VALUATION OF CORPORATIONS AND GROUPS
This course introduces the new valuation techniques such as the EVA, MVA, real options, DSC, etc. It emphasizes the similarities and differences between the valuation of a single firm and the valuation of groups.
This course deals with the features of the securities that listed corporations can issue: (preferred and common) stocks, bonds,… It emphasizes the most important legislative rules organizing the issuance of securities.
This course links theory to practice through the application of many cases comparing the prediction of theoretical models and real-world data. The man objective is to show whether theory’s predictions are close to real facts.
- Les marchés À terme et la couverture des risques
Comment couvrir les risques dans les banques, les compagnies, les institutions en utilisant les marches a terme ? Comment fonctionnent les marchés ? Comment fonctionne la bourse? Quels sont les différents marchés ? Quels sont les différents types de produits ? Comment utiliser les options, les contrats futures et forward, les swaps pour la gestion des risques.
- International trade and liquidity management
The development of international trade and its impacts on national economies is dealt with. Hence, the role of COFACE, COTUNACE, and multinational corporations is studied in the context of the management of international risks.
This course introduces three key problems in international finance, namely financial globalization, currencies markets, and globalization in a broad sense. It also deals with the management of liquidity and the use of the new financial instruments.
- COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND NTIC (NEW information and communication technologies)
The role of the new technologies for information and communication is studied in the context of computerization of information, projects management, financial packages used in risk management.
